Thursday Evening 11:00 p.m. to be exact!

Today was a great day, we had a teen outreach day here are Capraverde. I think I spelled that right but I'm too tired to check. The day was a scorcher and we have some pink to reddish skinned team members to prove it. Thankfully, no one is seriously burned but a few of the team didn't do as well as the rest at keeping up with their sunscreen. We had a group of 50 teens from a local public school roll in at about 7:30 this morning and they promptly set up their portable speakers and began blasting their music. This took everyone by surprise as no team prior had ever brought along a sound system and music. We were warned by the missionaries that today could be a hard day with these particular teens. As it turned out, the teens were actually a very well mannered, fun loving, down to earth group of kids. We had a great day of fun and fellowship and yes during the down time "LOUD MUSIC". The day culminated with the Gospel Message being presented and there were 21 Positive Responses to the message today. Please pray with us and the Costa Rican Christians that these 21 students will follow up with the local Pastors who were present today. Some of the students have already made an effort to speak with the pastors today, lets pray the rest of them will soon. Sorry for no pictures today but I didn't have any internet until after 10 tonight and I am to tired to check my spelling let alone upload pictures, hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow to get some posted.

  1. Thank you so much, Gary, for taking the time to write this, even through your tiredness. I’ll be praying for those 21 students...and for those kids in our group who got sunburned. Ouch!
