New team, new mission

Already having met as a team four times, the 2013 DCXC Costa Rica missions group has begun planning for the variety of children's ministries and other work opportunities that we will encounter in January 2013.

Today's team meeting (thank you, Howarah family) continued with planning our team's mission statement, our Bible verse theme, our team t-shirt, and more. Team members brought to the meeting a plethora of ideas for all these elements as well as for children's songs and group games for kids of various ages. Neat ideas, fun to come, and our feet founded on Galatians 6:9-10:
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
This year again, Coach Harr led the team in team building skills... Following directions from the guys, Sierra led the way on  rafts of cardboard across the dangerous river of carpet. Not surprising the team leaders one bit, this group worked really well to accomplish the task in front of them.

This writer is not sure exactly how it happened, but Mariah did fall into the river at one point and have to experience Coach Harr's "strange" and "wonderful." But David (aka "Dupey") helped her cross that blinding obstacle, and the team celebrated victory!
